I’m Allister Freeman, a professional Kent wedding photographer with almost two decades of experience, welcome to my Chilston Park wedding photography page.
Chilston Park in Kent is a beautiful Grade 1 listed country manor house tastefully converted to suit the needs of modern visitors.
Set in 22 acres of well-kept parkland, the hotel features a 2 AA rosette restaurant and a history encompassing royalty, politicians, Lords and celebrities.
The building strong interior colour, like the deep red walls of the main staircase, allow me to create some strong and compelling colour images all year round, no matter the light levels. Couple this with the great outdoor space, the lake and staff that cater to every whim and you know you have found one of the best wedding venues in Kent.
Nick and Dawn booked me for their wedding at Chilston Park all the way from Australia. You can’t get much further away than that and I was touched that they enjoyed my work enough to book from such distance.
We managed to meet up about a week or so before the wedding for an informal portrait shoot which helps to get to know each other. I think it does help to meet up before the wedding day. It’s not always possible (or necessary in some cases) but when you are a bit shy of the camera then it can really help break down those barriers.
I’ve selected a few of my favourite photographs from the wedding day to share below. And I’ll say one thing for Chilston Park Hotel – the staircase is very very red!
