Asian Wedding at the RNB Venue, London

I've been working with and getting to know Reena and Jay for quite some time now and I won't forget their incredibly quirky engagement shoot in East London's Lounge Lover bar for quite some time! I didn't think it could be topped in terms of colour and vibrancy but how wrong was I?

Their wedding events - just a couple of days apart and both in London, were incredibly rewarding to document. I've captured some of my favourite and possibly some of my most powerful Asian documentary wedding photography to date, particularly on their second wedding at the RNB venue in North West London.

I shot this wedding on my own which is often the way I'm commissioned; there are pros and cons to shooting alone or as part of a team and it is an ongoing debate between wedding photographers. But for the majority of big Asian weddings, which often have ceremonies in separate locations simultaneously, two wedding photographers are absolutely essential. It makes complete sense to us to provide our couples with a film crew that we know we work well and have a vested interest with.

I have so many favourite reportage wedding photographs produced whilst working with Jay and Reena, below are just a few; a glimpse into this colourful, vibrant and emotionally charged London wedding.

We are so grateful to have found such a great photographer! Allister has captured such a beautiful memory of our wedding that has surpassed our expectations. They capture such true emotions of the day that they had my wife in tears at our preview.. the happy, funny, exciting and sad moments will remain part of us forever.

Allister is such a pleasant, genuine and super talented guy that we instantly warmed to. His reportage/documentary style enabled him to blend into the background and take some amazing natural shots, never intruding at all on what was a very hectic jam packed day.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you so so much for all your time and effort. We thoroughly have enjoyed the time we shared with you.. it’s been an absolute pleasure!

Wedding at Caswell House

Caswell House is a family-run wedding venue situated in stunning Oxfordshire countryside on a working farm. We first photographed a wedding at Caswell House over a year ago and are now proud to be getting regular enquiries for events at this charming Cotswold wedding venue.

The nature of Caswell instantly puts people at ease. In essence it's a relatively blank canvas and this allows couples to put their individual mark on their celebrations - as with all of all the weddings we've done at Caswell. However, this was perhaps the most individual.

I've timed this blog post exceptionally well by complete accident as today is Freddie Mercury's birthday. Gareth, Clare and their fun wedding guests - giddy on Limoncello from the latter part of the afternoon, paid an epic tribute to Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now' shortly after the speeches. I'm not going to forget this wedding, mainly because I was laughing so hard for most of the day.

I documented Gareth and Clare's reportage wedding photography at Caswell House in Oxfordshire alongside my associate wedding photographer Andy Rapkins. Here are just a few of my very favourites from the day.

Allister and Andy were unbelievable as part of our Wedding. Not only were they relaxed, professional and extremely amenable, all of our friends commented on how well they blended in and how friendly they both were.

The photographs blew us away, capturing many things we didn't see or simply forgot in all of the haziness of the day, and feel very proud to have such a good way of remembering the day and the atmosphere amongst our guests.

They were also extremely flexible and were happy to stay well into the night as things got a little lively.

Thank you both so much for surpassing all expectations and working so hard for us.

Rehearsal, Wedding & Brunch at Babington House

Venue: Babington House I've been waiting to feature this beautiful Somerset wedding for a while now - Nathalia and Will's impeccably planned events on the grounds of the stunning Babington House in Somerset.

Allister,

Thank you so much for doing such a beautiful job with our wedding photography. We love the images but most of all, you were such a pleasure to work with.

Your images are so artistic and you have such a gift for noticing candid moments.

Nathalia + Will

Day One - The Rehearsal.

Will's family travelled to Babington House from America and so it was nice to start the celebrations off with a quick practice run in the chapel followed by a small, late afternoon drinks reception. In the early evening Will, Nathalia and their close family and friends had an intimate pre-wedding dinner in Babington's Log Room - a candle-lit room setting the relaxed tone and atmosphere required by all before for the big day.

Day Two - The Wedding Ceremony and Reception and Day Three - The Brunch.

I documented alongside my talented associate photographer Joshua Archer for the main proceedings and with the chapel just yards from the house it kept things really quite straight forward. Not only were we treated to some incredible weather but the light throughout Babington is astounding.

The next day involved an early start to catch a few very candid, reportage wedding photographs of the party at brunch. The Orangery, where the brunch was held, has absolutely perfect lighting conditions for natural wedding coverage.
