The Ned Wedding Photography

I’m Allister Freeman, a professional London wedding photographer with almost two decades of experience, welcome to my The Ned wedding photography page.

Celebrating your marriage in a former bank building might not seem like an obvious choice - but for those wedding couples looking for something unique and completely unforgettable, The Ned in London could be the perfect choice to bind historic beginnings with contemporary surroundings.

I’m Allister, and I’ve been a documentary wedding photographer for over fifteen years - and this is why The Ned London suits my style of unobtrusive, spontaneous, and natural wedding photography so well.

The Ned literally started out as a Midland Bank building, designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924. Today, the historic building has been transformed into a luxury hotel with no less than nine restaurants and 250 bedrooms, each detailing design features from both the 1920s and 1930s, echoing the building’s roots. The original bank vault has been repurposed as a late-night lounge bar, making it the ideal spot for evening drinks in an iconic setting.

At The Ned London, weddings take place on the sixth floor, which is set aside exclusively for the use of soon-to-be newlywed couples and their parties. With two outdoor terraces featuring views out into the centre of London, you can opt to use a few rooms or take over the entire floor for larger affairs and the ultimate exclusive experience.

Able to host 120 guests for dinner, and 200 guests for receptions, each room at The Ned features period features and bright, arched windows to let in natural light and act as the perfect accompaniment to your wedding photography. I prefer to shoot in natural environments and find naturally-lit environments like The Ned the best for procuring those once in a lifetime shots without you even noticing I’m there.

The Tapestry Room seats 120 and can fit 200 standing and is an outstanding room for any wedding party to fill. Rich, glossy walnut panelling sits neatly beneath a remarkable pastoral tapestry - where the room gets its name - which is the largest of its kind when it was produced in England in the 1920s. The room is lit by nothing less than rows of glistening crystal chandeliers, making this room an extraordinary, breath-taking option.

The Saloon, seating 70 and fitting 120 standing guests is a bright room with one focal point: the 18th-century chandelier which was sourced from London’s Devonshire House. With an intricate chalk frieze and impeccably resorted parquet floor, The Saloon offers a nuanced luxury to any wedding party.

Part of the exclusive Soho House and Co suite of members clubs, The Ned dominates the central London location and commands attention. With elegant interiors, it’s the perfect accompaniment to your wedding and has a timeless elegance which can be captured through a lens to produce the most evergreen of wedding photographs. I pride myself on producing authentic and honest wedding photography at The Ned, discreetly documenting moments with my camera.
