Chesterfield Hotel in Mayfair London is a multi-award-winning venue that continues to impress. It’s Mayfair’s only red star accredited hotel and has won numerous accolades for the cuisine. Perfectly located in one of London’s most prestigious boroughs and with excellent transport links, this venue makes for the perfect backdrop to any wedding day.
Unusually for a large city hotel venue, there is a lot of character in the Chesterfield Hotel. Weddings can take advantage of the bright and airy Conservatory or the intimate Library for the smaller wedding breakfast. Larger weddings can use the main function rooms to seat vast numbers of guests. I particularly enjoy photographing weddings here because of the strong character and fantastic staff.

Sean and Michelle’s wedding at The Chesterfield Hotel
Sean and Michelle had a beautiful and emotional ceremony at The Chesterfield Hotel on a lovely spring day. I only joined them for 3 hours, which is relatively unusual but I do offer a completely bespoke service and occasionally budgets or event constraints mean I’m only needed for a short period.
You might think this would make things more challenging, but I wouldn’t say ‘more’ challenging – just a different sort of challenge. It’s tough on a large wedding to create meaningful images of each guest, and often it just can be done for everyone. At a smaller wedding like this it’s easier as there are fewer people, but telling the story of the day is harder.
Thankfully, Sean and Michelle were fantastic and had complete faith in my approach. This allowed me to create a very personal series of images for them, despite the time constraints, whilst still telling the story of the day.
