I’m Allister, a professional Oxfordshire wedding photographer with almost two decades of experience, welcome to my Poundon House wedding photography page.
Poundon House is a delightful venue located in Oxfordshire’s beautiful countryside. The house offers several rooms and is fully licensed for civil ceremonies. But the best part about Poundon House in the gardens. The expansive outdoor areas offer a huge amount of space for guests and can accommodate a large marquee for larger weddings.
There is just something relaxing about a wedding Poundon House, something ‘stress-free’ about the place. It might have been Edward and Philippa’s gentle grace and laid back attitude but the overriding memory I have of their day is that it just flowed with no hassle, fuss or upset – which is a rare thing at a wedding!
We did get lucky with the weather though as Edward and Philippa used the main house for their ceremony and this might have been a squeeze for all their guests had the weather turned nasty. As it was, this quintessential English venue enjoyed a not so quintessential break in the weather and the guests made the most of it.
It’s always great to see kids at a wedding too and there were quite a few here. They usually get up to some mischief whilst the adults are on their best behaviour so it makes for a great contrast in the photography. A few of my favourite shot from the day are in the gallery below – see if you can spot the naughty children…
