Priston Mill is situated in beautiful Avon countryside just 30 minutes from the M4 motorway and less than 7 miles from the centre of the historic city of Bath.
The site was first built on over 1000 years ago and today Priston Mill’s standout feature is the slightly newer 290 year old Watermill set in around 280 acres of beautiful grounds.
The Mill can hold up to 130 guests and much of it’s machinery is still in working order making for a totally unique venue for your wedding and a perfect backdrop for your Bath reportage wedding photographer.
There is another little bonus with Priston Mill’s – it has a second ‘wedding venue within a venue’, the authentic Tythe Barn. Thought to have been built around 1720 at the time of the current Watermill, the Barns vaulted ceilings and exposed roof creates a strong character to the setting. Over 180 guests can be seated within the barn and even larger numbers can be accommodated with an attached marquee.
Becky and Richard have been superb. A lot of my clients have faith in the documentary approach, but Becky and Richard gave me free reign to shoot what I liked and capture their day for them.
Being given the freedom to shoot how I work best allowed me to create some fantastic images and capture some touching and humorous moments.
I really enjoyed this wedding, not least for the creative freedom, and encourage you to allow your photographer the freedom to create a stunning heirloom for you. They’re the professionals, let them do their thing!
