What a beautiful wedding. Jenny and Richard, together with their gorgeous little family, planned their wedding with just their nearest and dearest in mind. Perfect for my discreet style of documentary wedding photography.
Their traditional church service took place in the same village the family life and as I arrived at the church prior to the ceremony to familiarise myself a little, the heavens well and truly opened! It’s fair to say it was probably the wettest of the summer weddings we had during this season, in fact there was reported flash flooding just along the road from the church!
Fortunately, we left the church into amazingly fresh, sunny weather.
The rest of the wedding took place at Jenny and Richard’s lovely home - lots of mingling, some very informal speeches and a nice hog roast. Perfect!
As you will see from the collection of images, it didn’t follow the typical wedding template, no bridal preparations, sit down meal or first dance, which was nice for a change.
I love working in As a wedding photographer, black and white, in fact I have my first pure black and white wedding booked in for next year, for those interested, here’s Jenny and Richard’s little wedding, all in mono. Brightness and volume up please:
Just wanted to say thank you personally for your efforts on the day and thereafter - really wonderful memento's of the day, all of them. Such a whirlwind at the time, it was heartwarming to sit down and absorb the day again at a gentle pace. Endless stunning pictures, cinematic even. I know Jenny has been in touch with thanks - but only right you have mine too. I need a list of superlatives to insert here to do justice to the work. Many many thanks.
Very Best Richard
