An infectiously positive, charming and sweet couple.
It was so nice documenting Cengiz and Julia's classy and elegant little London wedding at Kensington Roof Gardens last month alongside one of my long term students, Ian.
I'm incredibly pleased with the documentary wedding photography produced during this relatively small and intimate day. It feels real, authentic and honest. The day was great fun and yet it was particularly emotional and delicate. The light was exceptional throughout the building too, there are just so many windows that the threatening weather really had no impact on the day whatsoever - the ceremony had beautiful flat light to photograph in whilst the bar during the later part of the evening provided plenty of opportunities for exceptionally intimate, low light reportage photography.
Kensington Roof Gardens makes for a truly memorable venue for any wedding - boutique interior and tropical gardens overlooking Kensington High Street, complete with bathing Flamingos. It's certainly a favourite London wedding venue.
As with all London registrars, photography was allowed throughout the ceremony, a far cry from our experience last weekend where the vicar allowed no wedding photography at all. It's such a shame as the ceremony is a significant part of any wedding day. Please be sure to make your wishes to have discreet coverage of your ceremony clear to your registrar or vicar in the early stages of planning your wedding.
Below are just a few of my very favourites from this fun little day.
