Phil and Steve's wedding in London was made up of three key chapters, the first of these small chapters documented their civil partnership at Wandsworth Town Hall. Shortly afterwards, we walked a mile or so to have some afternoon drinks before some informal speeches at The Waterfront on Battersea Reach, we then finished the day by walking along the river to Marco Polo.
The whole day had a relaxed atmosphere with a very clear emphasis on what's important to the couple; their closest family and friends. And, because of the intimate nature of the day, it was incredibly rewarding to work on as a documentary wedding photographer.
The pictures you took that day are so evocative of the atmosphere and happiness of the occasion.
It was very special and everyone there made an emotional contribution to the 'feel' of the event. Looking through the documentary photography gives me a shock of recognition each time I view them, they bring a lump to my throat!
Peter and I enjoyed meeting Steve and Phil's other guests and your presence was so subtle and unobtrusive, but the pictures really capture all the laughter and engagement evident on everyone's face, which we will always remember as a special characteristic of the whole day.
Thank you so much for giving us all a record of a special and memorable day in the history of our family.
Sincerely
Cilia and Peter Clinton
