Not even the overcast weather could dampen the spirits of these two! In fact, the clouds and light rain only made this intimate wedding more cosy.
Aisha and Marcus’ wedding wasn't quite the detailed affair they’d dreamed of. The pandemic meant they had to have a much more compact ceremony than they’d originally intended.
However, the venue (Vineyard, Stockcross) was the perfect spot for these two, and their energy filled the space with love, excitement, and a lot of joyful humour.
The event got off to a busy start. With 45 minutes before the ceremony began, these two took the opportunity to have a couple’s photoshoot. As if there wasn’t enough to do on the day!
As you can tell from the pictures, though, their nerves about the wedding really didn’t show. We walked through the beautiful grounds of The Vineyard, and I was lucky enough to be able to catch a lot of beautiful, natural moments as they spent their last few minutes as an unmarried couple.
Their love for each other, sense of humour, and joy at becoming a married couple really shone through, making for amazing, real, raw moments. The wet grounds didn’t lower their spirits one bit. In fact, the glistening surfaces and lush greenery made for a magical atmosphere, brightened by Aisha and Marcus’ warmth and obvious love for one another.
Once they’d walked some of their nerves off, we headed inside for the actual ceremony. Just a handful of their nearest and dearest people waited inside to share their first moments as husband and wife.
The ceremony was much smaller than originally planned, thanks to pandemic restrictions. However, the atmosphere was joyful and Aisha and Marcus only had eyes for each other, anyway!
Even though masks were worn, the smiles on everyone’s faces were apparent. As we witnessed these two make their vows, the happiness I’d seen before the ceremony only blossomed.
Marcus and I have spent the last few weeks joking that we'd given you impossible material to work with - so while we had absolute faith in you… the photos are beyond anything we could have imagined. How you managed to capture the shots you did, knowing how full of butterflies we both were at the time, is nothing short of wizardry!
